GETC 2027 — LEGAL NOTICE (AVISO LEGAL)

Working draft for external legal review — not for publication in this form Applies to: GETC 2027 website (getc2027.eu) and the GETC 2027 participant app Version 0.3 (working draft) · Governing language: English, with a Spanish version required before publication under LSSI-CE

GDPR & DATA PROTECTION AT A GLANCE

Personal data processed through the website and the app is handled as described in the Privacy & Cookie Policy, under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD). This Legal Notice is itself an information-society-service disclosure required under Spanish Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce ("LSSI-CE"), not a data-protection notice — see the Privacy & Cookie Policy for how personal data is collected, used and protected.

RECITALS

A. [FULL LEGAL NAME OF ORGANISER] ("GETC", "we", "us") operates the website published at getc2027.eu and the companion mobile/web application used by Congress participants (together, "the Platform"), through which it makes available information about, and enables registration and attendance at, the Global Energy Transition Congress 2027. B. This Legal Notice is published in compliance with Article 10 of the LSSI-CE and is intended to identify GETC as the provider of an information-society service and to set out the general terms of use of the Platform. C. This Legal Notice must be read together with the Terms & Conditions of Attendance and Ticket Purchase (Parts I and II) and the Privacy & Cookie Policy, each of which forms part of the contractual and regulatory framework governing use of the Platform.

ARTICLE 1 — DEFINITIONS AND INTERPRETATION

1.1 "Congress" means the Global Energy Transition Congress 2027 (GETC 2027), scheduled for 9–10 April 2027 in Valencia, Spain, including its associated exhibition, Awards programme and side events. 1.2 "Platform" means the GETC 2027 website (getc2027.eu) and the official GETC 2027 participant application, considered together as one connected digital service, except where a provision expressly applies to only one of them. 1.3 "User" means any natural or legal person who accesses or uses the Platform, whether or not that person registers an account or purchases a ticket. 1.4 "Participant" has the meaning given in the Terms & Conditions of Attendance. 1.5 Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation. References to statutes include their successor legislation and any implementing regulations in force from time to time.

ARTICLE 2 — IDENTIFICATION OF THE SERVICE PROVIDER

In compliance with the information duties under Article 10 LSSI-CE, the following information will be inserted, verified, and kept current before the Platform is published, and will be kept identical across the website footer, the app's "About/Legal" screen, checkout, invoices and signed contracts: - Legal (corporate) name: [FULL LEGAL NAME OF ORGANISER / CONTRACTING ENTITY] - Trading name, if different: [GETC 2027 / other] - Registered office address: [ADDRESS] - Commercial/company registry entry (registry, volume, sheet, page, or equivalent): [REGISTRY DATA] - Tax identification number (NIF/CIF or equivalent): [TAX ID] - Official contact e-mail for legal notices: [LEGAL EMAIL] - Secondary direct contact channel (postal address or telephone): [CONTACT] - Any applicable professional or sectoral registration: [IF APPLICABLE]

ARTICLE 3 — THE EVENT

The Congress is an international congress and exhibition to be held on 9–10 April 2027 in Valencia, Spain. This Legal Notice, and the other legal documents referenced herein, apply to the digital services (the website and the app) built to support the Congress. They do not replace the physical venue's own house rules, health-and-safety regulations, or emergency procedures, which are published and enforced separately and take precedence on-site.

ARTICLE 4 — APPLICABLE LEGAL FRAMEWORK

The Platform is provided from Spain and is directed primarily at an EU/Spain-based professional audience. The following framework is relevant to its operation and will be confirmed and, where necessary, supplemented by Spanish counsel before launch: 4.1 Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) — governs all processing of personal data through the website and the app; see the Privacy & Cookie Policy. 4.2 Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD) — the Spanish data-protection framework complementing the GDPR. 4.3 Spanish Law 34/2002 (LSSI-CE) — governs this Legal Notice, electronic contracting at checkout, commercial electronic communications, and cookies (see the Privacy & Cookie Policy, Part II). 4.4 Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 (the Spanish consumer law) — governs pre-contractual information and consumer rights relevant to ticket sales; see the Terms & Conditions, Part II (Ticket Terms & Purchase Conditions). 4.5 Regulation (EU) No 524/2013 on Online Dispute Resolution for consumer disputes ("the ODR Regulation") — see Article 9 below. 4.6 Directive (EU) 2019/882 (the European Accessibility Act) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, as the working accessibility benchmark for the website and the app; see the Accessibility / Code of Conduct document.

ARTICLE 5 — ACCESS TO AND USE OF THE PLATFORM

5.1 Access to the Platform is, in general, free of charge, save for the cost of the User's own internet connection. Certain features (ticket purchase, accreditation, in-app networking) require registration and are subject to the Terms & Conditions of Attendance and, where relevant, Part II (Ticket Terms & Purchase Conditions) of that document. 5.2 Use of the Platform is subject to this Legal Notice, the Terms & Conditions of Attendance and Ticket Purchase, and the Privacy & Cookie Policy, each as in force at the time of use. Continued use of the Platform after a published update to any of these documents constitutes acceptance of the updated version, without prejudice to any stronger acceptance mechanism (e.g. a checkout checkbox) required for a specific transaction. 5.3 The User undertakes to use the Platform diligently, in accordance with the law, good faith, and public order, and to refrain from: (a) reproducing, copying, distributing, or publicly communicating Platform content without authorisation; (b) using the Platform for unlawful purposes or purposes that damage the rights or interests of third parties; (c) introducing viruses, malware, or engaging in conduct liable to damage, interrupt, overload, or impair the normal use of the Platform; (d) attempting to gain unauthorised access to other Users' accounts, restricted areas of the Platform, or GETC's systems.

ARTICLE 6 — INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

6.1 Unless otherwise indicated, the GETC name and logo, the visual identity of the Congress, the website and app structure, navigation, source code, databases, original texts, graphics, designs, the agenda/networking interface, and other content made available through the Platform ("GETC Content") are owned by or lawfully licensed to GETC and are protected by applicable intellectual and industrial property law. 6.2 No provision of this Legal Notice grants the User any licence or right of use, exploitation, reproduction, distribution, public communication, transformation, or making available of GETC Content, beyond what is strictly necessary for private, non-commercial browsing of the Platform, except where expressly authorised in writing by GETC or permitted by mandatory law. 6.3 Trademarks, trade names, and distinctive signs of third parties (e.g. sponsors, exhibitors, speakers' employers) appearing on the Platform belong to their respective owners and are used with authorisation or under a legitimate business relationship.

ARTICLE 7 — THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS

The Platform may embed, link to, or rely on third-party services, including but not limited to: payment providers, the badge/check-in vendor, the networking and matchmaking engine, video/livestreaming platforms, and analytics providers. GETC does not control, and is not responsible for, the availability, content, terms, or privacy practices of such third-party services, and Users should review the applicable third-party terms and privacy policies before using them.

ARTICLE 8 — AVAILABILITY, DISCLAIMERS AND LIABILITY

8.1 GETC takes reasonable technical and organisational measures to keep the Platform available, accurate, and secure, but does not warrant uninterrupted, error-free, or fault-free operation, and does not warrant that the Platform is free of viruses or other harmful components, without prejudice to the measures described in the Privacy Policy. 8.2 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GETC is not liable for damages of any kind arising from: (a) temporary unavailability, interruption, or malfunction of the Platform; (b) errors or omissions in content provided by third parties; (c) unauthorised access to a User's account resulting from the User's failure to safeguard their own credentials; (d) the User's misuse of the Platform. 8.3 Nothing in this Article limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that applicable Spanish or EU law does not permit to be excluded.

ARTICLE 9 — COMPLAINTS AND ONLINE DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Users who are consumers and who have a dispute arising from an online purchase made through the Platform may access the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr, without prejudice to their right to bring proceedings before the competent courts.

ARTICLE 10 — MODIFICATIONS TO THIS LEGAL NOTICE

GETC may modify this Legal Notice to reflect changes in the Platform, its services, or applicable law. The version in force at the time of access will be published with its version number and date, and material changes will be highlighted at the top of this document.

ARTICLE 11 — SEVERABILITY

If any provision of this Legal Notice is held invalid or unenforceable by a competent court, that provision will be deemed severed, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect, with the invalid provision replaced, to the extent possible, by a valid provision that reflects the original commercial intent.

ARTICLE 12 — GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

This Legal Notice is governed by Spanish law. Subject to any mandatory consumer-protection forum rules that cannot be excluded, disputes arising from the use of the Platform will be submitted to the courts of Valencia, Spain.

LEGAL REVIEW NOTE

Insert the actual contracting entity only after Finance/Legal confirm who invoices ticket buyers and signs exhibitor/partner contracts — this entity must be identical on the website, in the app, on invoices and on the payment account. Article 8 (disclaimers/liability) and Article 12 (jurisdiction) must be reviewed against the final consumer-facing sales model before publication; a Spanish-language version of this Notice is required under LSSI-CE and must be legally equivalent to this English draft, not a loose translation.

Source: GETC 2027 Legal Pages Master v1, sections 1–3 and 19–21. Expanded using standard Spanish Aviso Legal drafting practice (LSSI-CE Art. 10 identification duties, IP clause, liability disclaimer, ODR reference, severability, and governing-law boilerplate) and to explicitly cover both the website and the participant app as one Platform. Final sign-off from Spanish counsel, and a certified Spanish translation, are still required before publication.
